So I purchased a drop spindle yesterday and a couple ounces of various dyed bits of wool. I can make yarn now!! I don't think I bought enough fibers to spin enough to make a scarf...so I'll need to buy more, but I think I might track some of that down while I am in Portland next week. In my search for the perfect background for my new laptop, I came across a stellar artist. Amy Ross has some beautiful, weird, and amazing art. I especially like the shapeshifter series. I would love to own some of her art one day. One of the she-wolf pieces is my background right now. -

So it was announced that a $1200 energy relief check will be added to this years PFD. I am so relieved about this! I was seriously worried how we were going to afford to heat our cabin this year. But thankfully now that won't be a problem. Plus with the large PFD, I'll be able to pay off a large chunck of my unsubsidized student loans. Whoot! -

Went to the fair today. It was okay, though I didn't see much because of all the rain. I spent the majority of the time in the KSUA booth with Matthew and Nicole. Got some knitting done.
