My DIY kilt

Ahhh, I debuted my first kilt at the square dance club night tonight!
It is a handsewn 7.6-yard, 12-oz. blue denim kilt, made in the traditional design (except the non-tartan fabric).

Impressive. Good idea with the denim.

My eyes are still asleep, and I ready the line as "tacky kilt tip." I'm gonna have to used "tacky" as an initialism for this year's convention.

Thanks fuzzygruf. I made the kilt to join in the kilt tip at the convention! There seems to be a trend here for me -- I joined LJ to dance in the LJ tip, as well. :-)

Having seen it IRL, it looks just as fabulous in person.

But I wouldn't want to iron all those pleats.
