How unreal life feels now that the play is over! I cannot explain why playing pretend makes me feel alive; it does and I miss the sensation. Nothing compares to the adrenaline rush that is theatre and the companionship that is the cast. We're a little odd in theatre, we strike the set :P we also breast bars, so technically it makes theatre one of the only places where you can have a straight faced discussion about breasting something :P

Ah, yes, I suppose, when you think about it, "striking the set" does make more sense. We had to move that bloody set on and off the stage too many times to count.

"Breasting" is a new term for me. Ah, us ignorant actors. What does it mean, exactly?

So, where do you work or what show do you work with (if you don't mind my asking)?

Instead of 'bracing' a bar (pulling it back out of the way) by tying the rope to the bar, you put it over the fly line and pull it back - that's 'breasting' :) (you may hear during a get-in "can we breast that bar back?")
