I've been quite colicky today, and I am beginning to think that maybe eating kangaroo meat is not such a good idea. I seem to recall bouts of colic the last couple of times we had a kangaroo roast as well. This is not pleasant and has had me miserable all day with a hot pack on my tummy. I did write, though.

After my little personal pep rally this morning, I actually did manage to focus myself and settle in to do some writing.

I am pleased with the total today. Still not sure I am as far along as I need to be, but I am further along than I was.

God I am so bloody slack. I am averaging between 200-300 words a day so far on AugNoWriMo and this is not the way one goes about hitting 30k in a month! I'd be okay with this if there was actually some legitimate reason, like having to work a day job in between stints of writing, but you know what? Well, the draft of Keeper of Men is finished. I'm quite pleased with the way it all came out in the end. Classic Romance Novel fodder.

It needs polishing, and I am still a ways short of my AugNoWriMo target, but I might find that if I go back and start tweaking/editing and polishing it will come up to scratch.
