Fireworks and my Dog

Since Kate and Leslie and Cherokee left last Sunday, I thought SaraJane was simply missing her live squeaky toy when she was whimpery. Turns out it was more about the fireworks. Well goodness. That's just too bad. I wonder if you could desensitize her to the noise by being present when that noise is there? Houses in OK are just not very soundproof. :-( We can barely hear the fireworks inside the conodo. But then, there are a lot fewer windows.

It does help when I'm home. And I forgot to mention I did stay home all evening on the 4th with the tv turned up loud watching DS9. She would get a little upset sometimes, but not much.
Thank goodness the kids are running out of fireworks.

Oh, poor SaraJane! Sending her good thoughts. Cherokee was pretty freaked out about the fireworks, also.

Poor doggie! I find, the older I get, the more I wish folks would stick to fireworks shows and leave off the personal fireworks.
