Harley had made it to New York. She wasn't quite sure why she was there. Ok, maybe she knew damn well why she was there, but that wasn't the point. What was important was that now that she was there she was doing - er - touristy things.... in the half - ruined -cit ( ... )

Mia's head jerked up as she heard a yell that no one else seemed to notice. It was eerie to her, she still couldn't get used to that super hearing thing. Taking a swift little hop back a bunch of weird sparkly muck landed right at her feet, and several other people were completely soaked in the stuff. The raven haired woman made a grimace, feeling bad for them. She couldn't change or anything here, so instead of floating up, she used her ability to fly to "help" her climb a nearby tree and then "jump" across to the rooftop quickly where she saw....a clown?

Now that was just the last thing she was expecting. Jerky frat boys sure, but a clown? Mia had to scratch her temple in confusion for a moment. Of course, seeing the bucket next to the girls feet was all the proof she needed, but she approached with caution anyway. "So....what's going on here?" she asked walking slowly toward the other woman.

Angry shouts she expected, people running up the stairs or calling the police she expected, what Harley didn't expect however was the young brunette who apparently risked life and limb climbing a tree and jumping to the rooftop. Then again of all people she should know that appearances could be deceiving.

"This is my 'Hello' to the city." She replied smiling brightly. "I thought that a little clean harmless fun would make a good introduction." She paused. "Well maybe not clean, but you can't have everything." She frowned for just a moment before breaking back out into a broad grin. Sure this would have been better if she hadn't left her supplies at home, perhaps she could even have started off with a BANG, but this would have to suffice.

"That's....a welcome?" she said, a tone of skepticism. Maybe it was the outfit, but something about this girl just said 'trouble' to her. "Maybe you should....stop welcoming the city now?" She said tenetively. She wasn't in uniform or anything, and her witty banter left a lot to be desired. Glancing down at the bucket by the girls feet, she wondered if there was anymore of that goo in there, and if she should try and take it away from the woman.

Still, curiosity got the better of her. "So...uhm....you have a name, to go with that outfit?" She asked her with half a grin.

{{"Heh, and what the hell d'we have here? Seems y'ain't got the sense t'keep to the laws of physics, girlie."}} Deadpool's voice was partially mocking, though he didn't much care whether or not he offended anyone, least of all a random chick he found in a school he was cruising for babes.

[Hey, stupid! Ever stop and think that this could be a babe worth cruising for? Bet you didn't, didja?]

He grunted at the little yellow box, which was curiously audible in this particular world. Likely because.. well.. he really didn't know why! It was also more like a little yellow, red, and orange box. Whatever.. he missed the yellow, but this would do he guessed.

"Ptsh."

Mia jerked her head up from the note in time to see another figure in a black and red costume, this time a man. That really seemed to be a popular color scheme today. It almost made her consider changing her own scheme. Maybe she would take on Kal-El's colors after all...But mentally she shook her head no. She didn't feel like she could pull that off. But back to the person at hand. His comment suggested he'd seen her little interlude with the clown faced girl on the roof.

"Ahh well...hm. I really have no response for that." She said and shrugged somewhat helplessly. What could she say really? That she wasn't defying the laws of physics by flying around? That would just make her sounds as stupid as she felt just then. "So are you with that girl Harleyquin? Or is the black and red just a coincidence?" She made a little gesture to indicate his costume, with a somewhat scrutinizing glance.

{{"Harley? Ptsh, no, I wouldn't be caught dead takin' sides with some DCU dorkette." he laughed as he stood, and stretched for a moment, "Villain wise, I mean. Sure, she's cute, but she's a real piece've work. Kinda funny I guess, if you like 'em distracted. Nah. Black and red's pretty much all these writers like to work with."}}

Deadpool walked smoothly down the stairs, hand on one hip, head tilted to the side as he looked Mia over, {{"I mean, honestly, y'get a guy like Supes now and again, bright blue or green, maybe even orange. But there isn't anything more gritty than red on black, it just says, 'Hey, I'm here to kick your ass!'"}} he posed, smirking beneath his mask, as he said that.

Then, quick as thought, he narrowed his eyes, {{"What about you? You tryin' to deke me out, keep me distracted while that gal swings around from behind?"}}

Orange, now there was one she hadn't seen yet. At least not that she could remember anyway. Like most people, Mia had no idea what he meant by DCU, and his talk of writers was just bizarre. But he wasn't trying to kill her yet at least. Of course now that he was asking her if she was in league with Harleyquin, she wasn't sure that wasn't about to change, so she shook her head, opening her hands palms out to show she wasn't any kind of threat.

"No. She dumped a bunch of smelly goo and fake gems on some students and I was...well it was too late to prevent the first assault so I was trying to stop her from doing it a second time." Mia responded sheepishly. She turned towards the door, pushing her hands into the pockets of her red cordouroy jacket. It was about time she got out of this building before people started mistaking her for a student.
