Memories, they seemed so strange to her. But as Mia touched down on the college campus after drifting over NYC for most of the morning, she found she was confronted with them again. She could see it so clearly. There she was, just out of high school and about to start community college in Maine. But first, a road trip, her friends were all there, she couldn't recall clearly but it was possible they'd all been drinking. Then there was a truck, a big 18 wheeler, and that was when her life had changed forever. But before that, before that she'd been about to go to college.
Taking a covert glance about to make sure no one was looking, Mia donned her brunette wig and false glasses with split-second speed, pushing the spectacles up the bridge of her nose even as they tried to slide back down a bit. And still the thing was itchy. But no matter, disguised as she now was, Mia began to wander about the college grounds, contemplating what it would be like to attend classes with people her own age, and then what it would be like if she accidentally broke her desk and everyone found out she was some kind of superhuman alien. That dampened her enthusiasm a bit, but she remained determined, and once again pushing those glasses up the bridge of her nose, she made her way towards the main building, eyes wide with awe as she looked at it's worn bricks and climbing ivy.
"Maybe....oh but how would I even afford it?" She asked mostly to herself.
