Tina was seated, or curled up rather, on a small couch by the window. Her dad was having a last-minute meeting with some business associates at the house, and Mrs. Cohen-Chang insisted on Tina leaving so she wouldn't disturb them. So while she headed off to her part-time job at the public library, Mrs. Cohen-Chang dropped her daughter off at the only place Tina thought you could get a decent hot chocolate.
So there she sat, her legs curled underneath her on the chair as she sipped her warm chocolate drink and flipped through the latest (by which it was three months old) tabloid on the coffee table.
A very tall familiar figure caught her eye as he walked inside the cafe, and, feeling somewhat mischievous as she recognized him, Tina put her drink down and pulled out her cell phone to send Finn a text message.
There were only two more people in front of Finn in line when he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. He fished it out to find a text message from Tina and his eyes widened at what he read. Was she, like, psychic or something? He had just been thinking about maybe getting a coffee instead of a hot chocolate. That was so weird.
Finn read his next message and his eyebrows drew together. She could see him? Like, psychically? No, that didn't make sense. Psychics weren't real. He was being dumb.
Sitting in the back, eating a scone, Lauren noticed Finn walk in out of the corner of her eye. How could she not? He was the tallest person she knew, after all.
A few minutes later, she looked up and noticed Tina, who apparently appeared out of nowhere to join Finn with her drink.
Lauren was still relatively new to Glee Club, but wondered if they'd appreciate more company. It was kind of lonely sitting over here by herself.
