So I borrowed a friend's Open gun at this past weekend's USPSA match. It was a very nice SVI IMM Open gun (link to image on SVI website of gun very similar to the one I borrowed). I know what you mean! I wear Muffs and Plugs when shooting the S&W .50 with the long barrel. Even then, one can "feel" the blast.
