nope! it's just that I have "themed" icons... for my LJ that is, cuz I indeed tend to use the same outside this place...
but in here, I try to visually categorize what I post, depending on what it is about: so, for when I write articles, I use "House wearing glasses" icon (duh!), Reviews = House with the snakes season 6 promo icon; Mucical Interludes = a pictures of some of my instruments...; Photo Interlude = picture of a camera; Painting Interludes = picture of a set of brushes... and so on. As for fanfictions, that's when I usually use my default icon. I've posted a one-shot using it just a few days ago btw *end of shameless plug* ... or sometimes, I also use specific icons made to illustrate or evoke the storyline of the fanfic.
am I not completely and compulsively obsessed by meaning and subtext, or what? LOL
anyway, what about you? how was your trip in my homeland? :)

Meaning and subtext are fine things to be fascinated by. Personally, I'm currently intrigued by the process of walking a previously heroic, if damaged, character back from criminal reckless endangerment. If the House writers can pull that off and be even remotely credible, I will take back everything I said about their incompetence.

AHHHhhhhhhh, blasphemer!
Now that I think about it, it could be that the sea background ambient and the Christian mumbo jumbo at the end of Mitchell/Hancock turned me off...
same here... I mean, HERBIE HANCOCK FFS!! as beautifully soothing ande almighty as the sound of the ocean is you just DON'T mix it with the sound of Herbie Hancock's piano! duh.
and the religious ref. what can I say? I'm an atheist. from head to toe. that kind of things, though I absolutely respect it, first leave me a bit puzzled, then indifferent, then I forget to care...
