No spoilers, just want to share that after much agonizing deliberation and for the very first time in a Bioware game, I'm playing an "I don't give a shit" speedrun as my first character just to see the core story and meet everyone before I start my "real" protag with some idea of what's going on.

It's hard, people. Very, very hard. ;.;

Given how drastically my Sara improved when I shifted the gawky teen #8 gave me to the actual adult starting from #1 resulted in, I say yes?

Oh, and if you're utterly frustrated by the customisations failing to stick on Ryder's wardrobe, it turns out you have to hit Space to lock in each colour after you set it

Dialogue symbols key?

Is there a key to all the specialized symbols that pop up in the codex or anywhere?

I think I accidentally flirted with Jaal even though it wasn't the heart that I clicked on. The line she said made it sound like she was asking him on a date.

Cog-in-head: logical
Round-spiral-in-head: casual
Square-spiral-in-head: professional
Heart: Romantic

The casual dialogue does occasionally seem to be of the sort that might be taken as flirtatious if it had the right context to it I guess?

Some of the spiral in head, I interpreted as 'aggressive' in the cases I chose it. But 'casual' might be right, too.

I finally found a key in the codex. There is the heart for flirtation and then side by side people indicating friendship. That's what I clicked with Jaal. Still sounded awkward but I'm beginning to like how unsure my Ryder sounds about things. Lol

[Questions/Thoughts]

When does the stupid radiation go away on Eos??? I'm actually pretty frustrated by that. I got the quest back at Nexus to install the news receiver, so off I go, only to find that it's in a Rad 3 area, which means I can't even hope to get up there and get out to install it. There are a lot of other quests as well that I can't get to, again because of hitting Radiation 3. Questing aside, one of my gaming sweet spots is to be able to mosey around and explore, and the "Radiation Wall" as I have dubbed it is seriously cramping my style.

Really missing the drell and quarians - and worried because while one of the big missions is trying to find the asari, turian, and salarian arks, finding the quarian ark (which states it has quarians, drell and hanar I think?) so far hasn't shown up as something to do. I really hope we're not going to have to wait another 3+ years and the second game before we see them.

[Link to spoiler]Keep advancing the plot and the radiation will be cleared relatively quickly. Basically ignore any sidequest on Eos until then, it will happen before you know it.

The quarian ark had a late start and most likely hasn't arrived in Andromeda yet; "next game" is possible, but it's probably a DLC hook.
