OMG, I just high-pitched squealed that at the TV while playing through the ending for a 3rd time.

I saw...! )

I think it only shows ME1 LI's. If you didn't romance Ash or Kaidan, it defaults to Liara. Hopefully that will be fixed in the EC.

My first Shep romanced Ash in ME1, then Miranda in ME2, and stayed with her in ME3. Got the Liara screen at the end.

And Kudos to you for being able to stomach that a third time. I've ended my subsequent playthroughs after talking to everyone at the FOB.

Heh - I've only managed twice: once as my initial "stumble-around-blind" playthrough, and once for screenshots and to get that stupid stupid stinger scene.

I haven't even been able to think about trying it again (not even if I altF4 at Anderson or just quit out after saying goodbye), and that hurts.

Haha. It's technically the fourth time I've stomached the full ending since I replayed a previous end save to see the Destroy instead of Synthesis ending (without having to wait through another full playthrough or watch a video).

I went through it twice, and was going to quit after the final goodbye with Garrus in London, but I wanted the Destroy/Shepard lives ending this time :P

I don't think I'll be doing any more (single-player) ME3 anytime soon. Maybe int he future with mShep.

Don't get too excited for Garrus - Kaidan was always shown if you romanced him.

It's always been Kaidan, Ashley, and Liara. If you romanced any of them, you see the correct person. If you romanced anyone else, you get Liara.

My thoughts exactly.

You mean it's that guy's fault my Shepard, no matter if they never spoke or acknowlegeded Liara, is always mysteriously happy to see her? He can go DIAF.

Aw... got excited over nothing. I knew they didn't bother to fix the Liara glitch, but I hadn't heard that the other ME1 LIs would show up as well.

Still, it was nice to see Kaidan there. <3

I heard they were cut due to budgetary/timing concerns. Hopefully they'll include the assets for the others in the EC.

I heard that they had trouble implementing the other LIs in the flashback for some reason, so instead of fixing it, they just cut them out due to time.

I hate that rumor just as much as any other explanation.

I honestly still can't believe they shipped the game with that Liara bug in there.

...No, actually, I can, given BioWare's torrid love affair with Liara. I guess a better thing to say would be, I can't believe after all these years and all the time they've spent with their fanbase, they haven't gotten it through their thick skulls that not everyone is as wildly head-over-heels in love with Liara as they are.

Though really, I'm almost as pissed that Joker is forced down our throats as well as Liara. I have Shepards who blame him for their deaths and have no fondness for him whatsoever, and certainly would not be thinking of him moments before their (second) deaths.

I doubt it's a bug. There are no movie files for any other characters besides liara and the VS for that part, so it must be working as intended :/

Yep. The whole flashback sequence reeks of either a lack of time to implement other LIs or just plain negligence for the fans on Bioware's part.

To be fair, the whole ending reeks of "we ran out of time."
