Oh wow, that's so cool that the line changed to Thane and Miranda! Very interesting :3
Yeah, I...I have a Renegade playthrough, but I have absolutely no clue when I'm actually going to be able to do it. She ADORES the Krogan, they are like, her people. Wrex and Grunt went everywhere with her on every single mission in 1 and 2. I seriously don't think she has the heart to do it (haha neither do I ;__________;)
I'll probably need another playthrough or two to be able to distance myself enough - it took 2 full playthroughs of 1 and 2 before I was able to even try a Renegade. Props to everybody able to do it, seriously.
I had 2 playthroughs, both full-out Paragon before I tried Renegade as well for ME1 & 2.
It depends on if your Renegade thinks it's going to be worth betraying the krogan for the salarians help. And with Wrex still alive, you're likely to lose some krogan support anyway. That's the sucky part. :/
Oh yeah, I know! But I did my Renegade game to see everything I hadn't done in my other two games, so...making those choices was sort of the point. Plus I didn't save Maleon's date on her, so it's kind of like, might as well go all out and see the whole thinh.
I don't know how you do it. I spent a bunch of time watching the "alternates" of scenes I had played this past weekend, mostly form a renegade POV, and when Mordin's scene came on and the renegade option was to shoot him... I think I about died with him, and that was just from watching the YouTube video! OMG, I can't even... And then Wrex! ash;lhjasdf;klj
I love that the prompt gave you the Thane and Miranda dialog. That is pretty awesome. I never took that prompt (my playthrough was paragon-until-it-hurt), which made me think Shepard would die at the hands of Kai Leng, but it played out well enough.
So I have to know (and you're the only person I've seen who hasn't done it) - what happens if you don't take that interrupt with Kai Leng? How does it play out?
I don't think I'll ever be able to sabotage the Genophage cure with Wrex and Eve alive, I start to feel sick just from thinking about it, imagine playing it D=
About Miranda, from what I understand, unless you trust her 100% and tell her about Kai Leng and other things, she dies. She's quite hard to save, apparently.
And oh god you can tell Garrus what happened? I just... I... I'm going to go cry somewhere T_T
Thanks for the video! I skipped some of the scene because ow my heart, but it was nice seeing that talk with Garrus. Does it happen right after Wrex confronts you? Or is it after Thessia? (if I'm not mistaken in my playthrough the talk about his family and the whole ruthless calculus bit came after Thessia...)
My only two playthroughs are both renegade. This one was a little worse, because I sabotaged the cure. Shooting Mordin... I had to stop and cry for like five minutes. That was the hardest renegade reaction I've done by far, whereas the other decisions usually don't make me wince. Garrus... I had to do the same thing. I couldn't just lie to him, especially since he's my current game's LI.
The only good thing about the sabotage was Wrex died in ME1, and I guess Wreav never confronts you?
As for Miranda, I think she dies if you didn't let her use Alliance intel. I let her, even as a renegade, because I had a feeling she'd lead me to Cerberus. I don't particularly like her (but I don't hate her anymore) and I know now she leads you to Cerberus either way, but she lived in both my games.
Nah, Wreav doesn't confront you. People joked that he was too dumb to notice. Killing Wrex in ME1 and sabotaging the cure is one of the ways to get a max amount of War Assets.
Yeah, Miranda survived in my first one. So, I wasn't expecting in this one. The Renegade options really didn't seem that bad. She didn't "want" help anyway at first.
Yeah, I'd just assumed Wreav was too stupid to notice sabotage. ;)
The renegade options generally seemed tamer than in past games until I had to shoot Mordin. Some of the interrupts were really just 'kill someone 2 seconds sooner' or 'kill someone before this person beats you to it,' etc.
I completed two Renegade playthroughs, but never as a complete jerk. I injected some tiny Paragon things here and there just to stay human. I like ruthless, direct and somewhat rude characters, but some things are just... pointless and OOC for Shepard, I guess. My Paragons never stay completely "pure" as well. Sometimes even they feel such an anger they can't remain calm.
I try to get as much on one side or the other as I can. I know for my Renegade, I actually saved the Rachni queen in ME1 and (obviously) activated Legion instead of giving him over to Cerberus. I went along with the "she'd be a powerful ally" argument. I thought that the Renegade would dig himself into a hole and make everyone hate him - figured he'd need someone to help him fight in the end. XD I ended up not helping her in ME3 to get Arlachk(sp?) company instead.
Oh, and couldn't bring myself to put a kill-order on Oraka. :(
