Kaidan & Sheploo ME1/ME2 Romance - ME3 Sees Ur Mod Thar AND APPROVES

This thread lead to contemplation of Kaidanmance and, further, if ME3 recognizes modded ME1 saves (specifically, DudeShep/Kaidan). Turns out, the answer is yes! ... (If the answer was no, this would've been a really boring post.)

The process is exceedingly easy... at least on PC. I've no clue about how to do this on the consoles.

Off topic: Watched the ME1/ME2 Kaidanmance compilation vid, saw Wrex in Phoenix armor. I approve. ;)

On topic: This is really an awesome thing to watch unfold over three games. Gotta love mods!

Stupid question, but I never played with this before - can I take ME1 save and edit it so I replay ME1 starting only before Ilos mission?

Not stupid at all! It's actually a really good question. I just wouldn't know how to do that. :/

I'm not sure if there's an ME1 Save editor, which I think would be required to do what you're looking for.

Oh yay! I will import my M!Shep who romanced Kaidan in the first game some day. I used my original unromanced Shepard for my first playthrough because I was scared about importing. A few minor problems are okay. I mean, people called him ma'am all through the first game along with the few missing lines and the word 'woman' was in the little mail you get from him in ME2.

I started a playthrough with my ME1 modded Shep and once I got the hospital scene, realized there were a few lines that Meer didn't voice... so I freaked out thinking the game thought my Shep was a female (think like in ME1 where the game thought Shep was female and had femaleShep in certain cutscenes) so I started a new Shep to romance Kaidan. Now, I'll have to go back and restart my imported Shep again! Yay!
