Searching for Presents!!!! (They have to be around here somewhere...)

In a week or so, something awesome was going to happen. Luna was going to turn eight years old. With birthdays came presents. Every kid in the world (and on the moon) knew this little bit. The trick was finding where they were hidden. So, taking a slight (unscheduled) break from lessons, Luna was looking to get Lockjaw in on this game of 'find

Lockjaw's usually pretty easy to find, and today's no exception. Spotting the favored toy dangling from a string, he approaches and sniffs at it, tilting his head to the side curiously.

"Rrf?"

"There you are!" Luna said, happily waving the toy back and forth in front of Lockjaw's face. "You need a new toy, this one is all drooly and it's arm's about to fall off," Luna said sagely.

Indeed, this little Ben Grimm is hanging by the neck. "We're going to look for my presents! Because I'm almost eight now. Won't that be fun?"

"Grawf!" Lockjaw agrees, offhandedly, while lifting up a stubby paw to experimentally nudge the dangling toy.

With a laugh, Luna pulled on the stick so the Thing on the string bounced sharply. "So, Lockjaw, do you know where Mother hid the presents? There have to be some here because it's only a few days more until my birthday. And then I'm eight. And hopefully we'll have cake, I like cake. And I'll give you a piece if no one else does."

At least the clod has the good sense not to ruin a child's birthday.

Although Gorgon is likely to get her swords and maces.

Luna considered that, "I guess. What'cha going to get me?! Is it going to be totally awesome!"

She would love anything she could run around and cut things with. Or those dolphins. Or more candy.

"And how many? And are you going to hide them all over or just in one place?" she said, talking quickly. Always more open with Cousin Gorgon than most other adults.

He picks her up to put her on his shoulders. "Well, that depends... where would you like to go?"

Yes, he's perfectly aware that he's taking her away from her father without even acknowledging his presence.

He has to be nicer than usual in Luna's presence, after all.

Lockjaw happily moves to Gorgon's side - after all, it's likely they're going to make a trip to Earth for this stuff, right?

Of course, Luna still has the Thing toy that holds his attention.

Cassie wasn't supposed to go anywhere outside of her home. So of course she was browsing toys. Sure she could be playing with the ones Kate gave her, or her bunny, but that would require her not violating her mother's rules.

She didn't notice the inhumans at first but you can't not notice a giant dog for very long.

Well there was someone she hadn't seen in a long time.

Luna was trying to pull a giant dolphin plushie off the display to run back to her Cousin and Father with and saw someone she was sure she knew. Running up, trying to hold onto the giant toy which was dragging on the floor as she did so she happily said, "HIIIIII! Look at this!"

Either Luna remembered her too and she was just really outgoing.

"Let me help you." Cassie picked up the tailfin of the dolphin. It was heavier than she expected but picking up her teammates, punching people, and jumping around at tiny size had built her muscles so that it wasn't a big deal. "Now his fins won't get dirty."

"Okay," Luna said as she helped with the dolphin, "I know you, you used to play with me when my Mother was an Avenger. You're Cassie," Luna said brightly.
