The ball is in motion, as far as this stint on the Graveyard Shift is concerned.  I have told management it is time to put up or shut up: either I get a significant raise for working this shift, or I go back to my old shift (8:30am to 5pm).  It's a win-win for me, either way: more money or a "normal" life again.

Just got home this afternoon, from a week's camping with the family.  For the most part, it was a really good time: I have never truly enjoyed camping in the past, but this week I was able to actually relax and have fun with my wife and daughter.  A stressful visit with my Baba (Ukranian for "grandmother") had me snapping at family and strangers on ( Read more... )

Once again, I've been really swamped at work.  I was lucky to get a match in Vancouver last Saturday (July 21): a rematch with Freddy Funk.  In a word, it was awful ... The past few days have been real scorchers, so we have been hanging out for a few hours at the lake to relax.  Yesterday's trip was great: we were there for about two hours, and my aching back muscles were totally numbed by the ridiculously cold water.  Zoe was also very well behaved, and we had fun ... as the picture below can attest.
