Yay fic!!

I'm so sorry that I've been lagging with the comments on your lovely stories (like with your Ten/Martha 1969 fic, for example), but I'm sure to get working on that today!

Guh, this was amazing! Hot, angsty and sweet all at once, how much do I love it whenever John would say "Come back", I loved it in Atonement and even more so now here in your story ♥ Ten has awful timing for a Time-Lord, but his confession about killed me!

“Doctor, I’ve moved on. I have someone who loves me now, someone who appreciates me, and is good to me. I can’t bother with chasing you around any longer.”

“You don’t have to chase me. I’m right here.”

The last part made me choke down a sob - poor, poor Ten. But at the same time, I feel so much for Martha, being stuck in such a difficult position :\

I love that John "makes a memory" for Martha, absolutely lovely ♥ I can't wait for the next installment!!

That's definitely fine. I am terrible at commenting myself, I notice that often I reply in my head and then forget to actually post that comment (I do that with emails and comments I need to reply to as well, and always have a good laugh at myself when I catch myself doing so)!

Anyway, as long as you enjoy my writing, I am happy with that! :)

Thanks! Yes, I liked the "Come back" part as well -- I couldn't resist putting it in there, it seemed very apropos to John's character. :)

Ten has awful timing for a Time-Lord, but his confession about killed me!Good, it was meant to be a very emotional thing for him and the audience -- I am glad that was effective for you. We all know ( ... )

I love this fic so much! I love John's tenderness and love for Martha, and his ability to be open to more (esp to be open to Jack and now Ten, despite how much Ten's hurt Martha in the past). John is the *perfect* man for Martha, not that disappearing geezer we didn't have on the telly!!

Sorry - I was somewhat cranky earlier!

I'm so glad that you liked it -- you know how terribly nervous I've been about it (and I think I might die before I get it all posted -- LOL!).

I am so happy that Martha has John for an anchor in her life and that he can help her navigate things with both Ten and people like Jack. I think he really supports her and loves her and I think that is just what she needs right now.

Yes, I think the Doctor loves her as well, but sometimes people need that verbal validation as well, no matter how strong they are. Sadly, the Doctor is always going to be a challenge in that way, but I like that they are getting on the same page with things.

LOL @ "that disappearing geezer"!

P.S. On a completely shallow note, I added this super-hawt icon I'm using to the martha_dr_john icons -- I just think John looks so deliciously naughty in this pic! PHWROAR!

It'd help if Team Cardiff ALLOWED Martha to be more grown up as they did Donna...

Speaking of internal clocks, I was thinking two days ago that there should be a new addition to MJ&DJ soon. I guess I was starting the beginnings of withdrawal? lol

LOL! Well, this one ended up much longer than I expected, so it took a bit longer than I wanted. Hopefully shorter stories in the future will be much quicker to write. :)

Anyway, great fiction as always!

Thanks so much! I am so glad that you liked it! :)

So excited to read the upcoming two parts! The plot thickens *runs hands together*!

Well, I'm just about to post the second part in a few minutes, so you won't have long to wait at all (God, it's been so weird having a finished story and not posting it all at once -- but persiflage_1 and I thought it would be a neat idea to post it over three days since it turned out so bloody long).

Have I mentioned lately just how much I want John for Christmas? No? Ok. I want him for Christmas! I love how supportive he is of Martha - wanting to turn her bad experiences in 1913 into a wonderful memory and telling her that she should give the Doctor a chance (again). I love him! *squishes John*

The Doctor has horrible timing but... better late than never I guess. Martha's rebuttal of the Doctor and her refusal to take his kind words at face value is very real and very heartwrenching (right on, too!). He hurt her deeply and I like that she is finally letting him see that (even if I want them to fight and get to the secksin...lol)

Wonderful job, as always!

Oh haiden23, don't we all? *sigh*

He is a really good guy, a healer-type, and completely devoted to Martha, so it definitely makes sense to me that he would approach their relationship that way. I'm glad Martha has someone like him to be there for her. :)

Yeah, that's what I think. :)

I'm not gonna lie, if I were in her shoes, ( ... )
