The Echolls Estate - Thanksgiving Day

Veronica and Piper showed up at Logan's house early on Thursday morning and promptly took over the kitchen to prepare the massive Thanksgiving feast they had planned.

"That's inhuman," Anders objected. "Poor helpless cupcakes -- how can you be that heartless?"

He didn't mean to, but his hand twitched again -- just enough for a single drop of cranberry sauce to splash down onto the mashed potatoes.

Piper gasped in horror. "No you did not!"

She took off more icing from the cupcake she was holding and flicked it at Anders.

"I didn't!" objected Anders, who hadn't actually realized the little bit of cranberry sauce had dripped. Glowering down at the icing on his shirt, he deliberately dripped a good bit of cranberry sauce into the potatoes this time, adding, "But I did now."

Piper just stared silently for a moment, trying to grasp the true horror of the situation. "You actually did it."

The shock was starting to wear off, though, and was clearly being replaced with anger. She was angry enough to toss the cupcake, aiming for his face.

And his face was what it hit, frosting first, much to Anders's indignation. "I so frakking hate you," he growled as he blinked frosting out of his eyes -- poor unappreciated pumpkin spice frosting from scratch.

Oh look, there went a spoonful of cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes, flying Piper's way.

Piper totally froze the flying cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes and smirked. "Did you actually think I wasn't expecting that?"

"Oh, sure, rub it in, you and your frakking powers," snapped Anders.

Of course, while he was saying it, he was letting fly with a roll, aimed at her head.

"What's that?" Logan pressed a hand to his ear as if he were listening to an earpiece. "Yes, okay." He said to Piper, "I'm afraid the judges have ruled any use of powers as cheating."

Piper? Totally hit in the head with the roll. She blamed Logan for distracting her, so she threw the same roll in his direction. "Like I'm really going to listen to you."

Logan caught the roll neatly. "My house. My rules."

"Stop it, all of you," Veronica said firmly. "We're supposed to be enjoying a meal together."

Veronica wasn't expecting that, so the roll bounced off of her shoulder and landed on the table in front of her. "Oh my GOD! Did you all suddenly turn twelve?"

It didn't stop her from scooping up a spoonful of mashed potatoes and aiming them in Logan's direction.

Meanwhile, the frozen mashed potatoes suddenly unfroze because Piper wasn't paying attention. So now, they were in her hair.

She pouted. A lot.

Anders took just a moment to appreciate the pout, then grabbed a couple of the brussels sprouts that had garnished the (very nice, by the way) turkey platter and flung them Veronica's way.

Logan held up a hand to block the potatoes but only succeeded in diffusing the splatter a little. He snatched up a handful of the nearest food - green beans - and threw them at Veronica.
