Chill, watch TV, chat with your fellow guests.

Chris was relaxing in the living room with a cup of coffee. He had the remote in one hand and was flipping through channels to check the scores of the various football games.

"Oh, football!" Andrew exclaimed, plopping himself down on a sofa. "How manly."

He began to fidget about with a throw pillow.

"It's a thing," Chris said with a shrug. "I prefer baseball, but me and Wyatt and my Grandpa always sat around in front of the TV with takeout on Thanksgiving and watched football."

"Yeah, I always watch the parade. I love parades." Andrew paused. "Hey, did you know Miley Cyrus is supposed to be singing on one of the floats this year? She's so cool. I love her." He paused again. "What's your favorite part of the parade? I used to think the giant balloons were the best part, well, those and the Rockettes with their stunningly precise and potentially devastating high kicks, but now I lean more towards the marching bands. I always wanted to play the trombone."

Chris flipped channels and found the parade. "I dunno, I never really watched it," he admitted. "Probably the girls in the skimpy outfits though."

"I feel so sorry for them," Andrew said seriously. "It's cold up there. Sometimes it snows. And there they are, forced to wear little to nothing so they can be objectified by men the world over."

"Exactly," Chris said, grinning a little. "It's awesome. I think I like the cheerleaders better though."

"I love the fact that the parade has evolved into this huge production. I remember when they just showed you the parade and quoted things like how many yards of fabric went into the Ratman balloon or how many cubic feet of air he holds. Now it's like Olympics, and even the person with the pooper scooper that follows the horses has a prerecorded sob story to tell the world how they made it to here despite their oh so tragic past."

Chris hadn't really ever sat and watched the whole parade and he boggled a bit. "Seriously?"

"Oh yeah, it can get really emotional. We should probably see if we can round up a box of tissues." Andrew didn't seem to be joking.

"Uh, okay," Chris said. "Place like this, I'm sure they have them somewhere."

"Speaking of, how's Lana? Is she still, you know, sensitive?" Andrew hadn't forgotten how she had started crying when he tried talking to her in class.

Of course, he's not really one to talk at the moment.

"I think she's doing a little better," Chris said. "We're together now and... well, I hope I'm making her happy."

Andrew had to grin. "That's great. I'm sure you're making her very happy."

Hm, Chris blushed a little at the unspoken insinuation he picked up from Andrew's words. "I think I am."
