Veronica woke up and looked around her nearly empty room. Most of her belongings had been shipped to Neptune in preparation for her trip to Paris before she headed off to Hearst. "It was a birthday present from Marty," Veronica smiled. "And yeah, Paris back to Neptune," she said. "I start classes at Hearst the Wednesday after Labor Day."

"Definitely," Veronica promised. "I'm planning to be back for Homecoming. God knows Angel won't be able to organize anything for the alumni," she pointed out with a smirk.

Veronica sighed. "It's not going to be the same for me at Hearst either," she said.

"I've never been to California," Rory smiled. "I could hit up Angel and Logan and then step out of a portal into your version of the state. Weirdest vacation ever."

"Two ex-girlfriends visiting at the same time? Poor Logan," Rory grinned. "I don't know how the whole Bel thing works - I just know Anakin took a portal over to see them this morning since he refused to let Bel take him." She rolled her eyes.

She bit her lip. "Anakin stopped by before he left."
