Veronica woke up and looked around her nearly empty room. Most of her belongings had been shipped to Neptune in preparation for her trip to Paris before she headed off to Hearst. Cally had somehow decided that starting the day off with a teary goodbye was somehow a good plan. So she knocked on the door frame, and took a couple steps into the room.

Cameron was pretty sure he didn't want to do this, but the alternative was not dropping by and that was just not an option. He stopped in front of the door for a moment, hesitating whether to just walk in or knock on the doorframe or turn around and run.

He opted for taking a step forward and hovering. Oh, and he was wearing the jacket Sam bought him.

Veronica looked up and raised an eyebrow. "Nice jacket," she said. "I'm not inviting you in, so please tell me you don't need an invitation. I'd hate to have to kill a friend on my last day."

Phoebe wasn't really ready for this as the pain of saying goodbye to her sister was still too fresh. However, this was Veronica and she couldn't pretend that goodbye wouldn't happen.

Okay, so it sounded lame, but it was obvious by the red-rimmed eyes that she didn't care about lameness of excuses today.
