Veronica woke up and looked around her nearly empty room. Most of her belongings had been shipped to Neptune in preparation for her trip to Paris before she headed off to Hearst. After taking care of all the stuff with the new kids, Rory stopped by Veronica's room, and shyly tapped on the open door. "Hi."

Rory nodded. "I lost a couple years ago when we did it at home, so it was nice. We only won because he kept me from falling over, though."

Rory gave her a sad smile and stepped across the room to give her a hug.

"I will. You do the same," Rory commanded, letting go after a moment and looking down at her. Somehow she hadn't quite realized how weetiny Veronica was before now.
