Veronica's phone? Yeah. It's ringing.

Veronica groans when she reads the call display, but she knows it's futile to try to ignore Marty.

"Good morning!" she answers the phone.

[oatmanspatient]

The theme for "Popeye the Sailor Man" starts playing through Veronica's phone.

"Avast Matey! I hear there has been some headtilting going on at Carita's last night! Arrr!"

"I'm hanging up now."

Nadia stopped by at, um, some point. Because there was revenge upon a certain reformed killer to be planning, and she had to let Veronica know she could call off the investigation into her family. After last night, she was pretty sure she already knew more than either she or Sydney wanted to know.

And if Sydney wanted Veronica to look into Irina Derevko . . . well, she could ask her herself.

Veronica grinned at Nadia. "So, you got some exciting news last night, huh?"

Nadia smiled back. "Yes. I didn't hear the radio, I guess it said something?"

"It said that you found out Sydney is your sister," Veronica said.

Piper wandered into the common area around second period after sleeping in a little. Thankfully, she doesn't have a class until fifth period.

"How are you feeling this morning?" Veronica asked quietly.

[cookinggeek]

"Okay. Slept pretty well last night," Piper said. "I'm not feeling demony, so that's a good thing. Was I really scary?"

Veronica smiled. "Yeah, you were," she admitted. "It's good to have you back to normal. Coffee?"

Somewhere around third period, Bel shimmered into the East Attic. He was still wearing the same clothes as the day before, ripped and bloody from Piper's attack. His face was scratched and his eyes were haunted; he looked like he hadn't slept at all.

"Bel!" Veronica exclaimed, startled by his appearance. "What's wrong?"

"I'm sorry," he said, taking a few steps back. "I didn't mean to scare you. I just wanted...to say I'm sorry...."

"You didn't scare me," Veronica corrected. "Just startled me."

She gave him a concerned look. "And what are you apologizing about?"
