Piper wandered into the common area around second period after sleeping in a little. Thankfully, she doesn't have a class until fifth period.

"How are you feeling this morning?" Veronica asked quietly.

[cookinggeek]

"Okay. Slept pretty well last night," Piper said. "I'm not feeling demony, so that's a good thing. Was I really scary?"

[marsheadtilt]

Veronica smiled. "Yeah, you were," she admitted. "It's good to have you back to normal. Coffee?"

Piper stared at the coffee pot, cringing when she remembered what she had done yesterday morning. "I'll pass for now."

She sat on the couch. "Believe me, I am so very happy to be normal again. Though I'd kind of like to hide forever."

"I very much remember that feeling from our gremlin bite incident," Veronica told her with a wry smile. "It's not the worst thing that's happened around here. And the radio got the details right, so I'm sure people will understand."

"I'm not really worried about what most people at this school think about what happened," Piper said. "Just the ones I hurt yesterday, including you. Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, Piper. You didn't hurt me," Veronica assured her.

"I didn't mean physically," Piper said. "I know I said some things yesterday... I wasn't very nice and I'm sorry about that."

"It wasn't you," Veronica said simply.

"Hope everyone else can be as forgiving as you," Piper sighed. "I have a feeling I'll be making baked goods for awhile."

"I'm sure everyone will forgive you. It wasn't you," Veronica reminded her.

"I know," Piper said, trying to convince herself.

She changed the subject. "So, Archie asked you out? I heard the radio.

[marsheadtilt]

Veronica couldn't help but smile. "Yeah," she said. "We're going out on Saturday."

Piper smiled as well. "I'm glad. Archie seems very nice. I don't think I ever really met him before."

"He is. He usually comes by Caritas when I'm working and he always walks me home," Veronica said.
