Sokka the 41st - [Action/Voice]

Aug 15, 2010 10:07

[Today was just an average day for the Avatar house... or was it? No, it wasn't just because Winry and her housemates were still there. No, something far more ominous was going on. But hopefully the plumbing would work itself out later. On the other hand, Sokka woke up the same way he ever did. He threw on his clothes, parted his hair, and headed ( Read more... )

[Hi Sokka, have one of your ladysmiths.]

Ordering us to work a little early this morning, aren't you?

... ordering us who, exactly? [Just as your voice is higher pitched, his is lower. But whereas his is recognizable, he has no idea who this is.]

Who the hell do you think, Sokka? [And why do you sound so weird.]

I don't know. There's no reason to get mad.

Oh, Sokka. I need to drop by the smithy later - I think I've misplaced my spear. Maybe it's back in there?

[She sounds the teensiest bit different, but not enough for him to really notice.]

Oh, sure. Drop on by! [Spears... those are the sticks with the pointy bits, he thinks.] I'd be more than happy to help you find it.

Thanks~! Heh, sorry, I'm not normally this scatter-brained. I swear, I had it just yesterday - and now I can't find it anywhere...

Hey, hey. It happens to the best of us. I couldn't even find my water canteen this morning! I had to take one of my sister's spares.

[Have random, semi-familiar maybe guy smile and wave at you on his way to someplace else.]

Hey, man.

[Sokka blinks. Does he know this guy?]

Hey. [...] Do I know you?

[Yes. Anthony actually has to think about that for a minute. Because, as with everything today, he's just not sure. That doesn't keep him from smiling brightly though and nodding.]

Yeah, I think so. You're Sokka, right?

[He nods at that.]

Yeah, but who are you?

[Sup, Sokka. Have a somewhat familiar looking guy enter your smithy. Only, something's very obviously wrong here. This is Adell, but for some reason he is wearing a lot more formal regalia, mostly in black and gold, combined with some reds. Yes, he is still wearing a vibrant red tie, but it isn't long and flowing, instead, rather conservative and normal looking. He also appears to be less physically strong, but he carries himself with a powerful presence. ...Also, it's hard not to notice that he is missing his scars entirely and that the pupils of his eyes are now pearl.

Oh, and then there's how he talks. He sounds rather impatient. Not necessarily at Sokka, but more in general.]

Proprietor! I require your assistance!

[And before Sokka can even say anything, he will quickly make his way into the smithy, and begin browsing through swords, of all things.]

[Well, that is surprising. Sokka blinks in surprise, because he's pretty sure he knows this guy, doesn't he?]

... Adell? Is that you?

[Adell looks at Sokka like his head is screwed on backwards.]

Of course it's me. Do not tell me you had forgotten.

[The beard and grown out hair almost make him raise an eyebrow, but given the summon swarm, he figured that not everyone had time for proper grooming.]

[... he's seen weirder things today.]

I like the new clothes. The whole tie thing? It never did work for you.

[Waking up to a scream coming through your journal and then finding out that one of your male friends - who is admittedly kind of cute - has been turned into a girl are not exactly conducive to a good night's sleep. And after all of the fighting they've been doing, Katara needs her rest. So it's not too surprising that she gets up a little bit later than normal, and that it takes a few minutes for Katara to realize that the brightly shining sun is a Very Good Thing.

Relief courses through her. Maybe she will just go back to bed.

Her stomach grumbles. Maybe not. Katara makes her way out of her room towards the bathroom. When she's gotten herself sort of decent, but not entirely awake, she comes out and sees the back of Sokka's head. His hair's still down. Weird, but then again she had taken over the bathroom.]

'Morning, Sokka.

[Now to rustle up some breakfast.]

[Sokka himself doesn't notice anything out of the ordinary. The fact she isn't wearing her braid is kind of odd, but it's not as if he cares about those sort of things. The dreariness of the morning obscures anything else odd about her. Before he has another spoon full, he raises a hand in greeting.]

'Morning, Katara. The milk's all gone.

[Sigh. Figures.

She takes out the leftover fish and starts to prepare a small breakfast roll with the leftover rice and greens. She should probably use it all up. Ed and Al and Winry and Toph, man, they're going to need food.]

'kay. We'll have to get some more fish today. I don't know if the monsters will still be out there, but the sun's back, so... maybe you'll have time to hunt.

[He lets out a groan, indicating he doesn't feel like hunting. He hates having to do it. All of it is so much work.]

Maybe if the sun's back, the food will be too. [Wishful thinking on his part.]
