Credit where credit is due, I came across this at a blog post elsewhere - a reference to a Michael Ironside "Ask Me Anything" session on Reddit. There are some links to some funny stories he's got there.

Only a couple things to add at this point.

First, the movie served as a reminder to me just how important characters really are to a good story. Heck, good characters and chemistry have made otherwise dull RPG campaigns fun to play in some cases in the past, too.

Finally cracked open the Robotech boxed set upon getting home today and put in The Shadow Chronicles. I'd read up on this new canon (as it contradicts much that was in the novels way back), so I knew the general gist of things. I've only seen Bay's first Transformers movie in the theaters. I have no intention of going to see the latest. And yet, this review/recap of it provides a few moments of critical humor in an otherwise very quiet day...

Just went to see How to Train Your Dragon 2. I didn't see the original until it aired on TV, at which time it hit the right notes for me. Not a super-unique story, overall, but it was told well with attitude and character ( Read more... )
