God, I haven’t done one of these fic-rec posts in ages. So much to catch up on, so little time…

A few things I'm connected to, in one way or another:

kilraaj managed to make me both laugh and wince with this set of drabbles. She wrote horny!Larsa and creepy!Vayne and tragic!Vossler-and-Basch. And this is part of why I love her dearly. ;)

Heh, I briefly contemplated going back to HP, which was my first and least prodcutive fandom, too. But then I took a long, hard look at the 3.000+ entry for HP on Fandom Wank and decided... hell with it. As though life wasn't stressful enough. ;)

As for the rest of the recs...I was checking out each of them, in order.

Then Sixteen, Going on Seventeen hijacked me for over an hour. (The size of the comment I left should explain why, I hope.)

Will have to check out the longer fics (can't get into wodhaund's stuff yet =/ ) and respond to the other ones later, when I have more time. But for now, assuming threewalls isn't too frightened by that huge chunk of text, I've made a new Friend because of these recs. And that makes me happy. ^_^ Many thanks once again!

I try to remain a woman of my word, I really do. And it's lovely to think that I introduced someone to someone else in my f-list. Yenta yenta yen-- um, nevermind, nothing to see here... ;)

And yes, Sixteen Going on Seventeen is fab and I'm not at all surprised it fascinated you as much as it fascinated me. I've literally never read another fic like it in the fandom so far. (Dark Larsa. Dark, dark, daaaaaaark Larsa!) But I'd also recc Heads Together as well. It's the sort of fic that makes me seethe with envy over how good the writing and the characterization is. Honestly, it makes me a little sad to think of how little attention it seems to be getting!
