Weeding: done. Sweeping: done. And it's only 7pm.

I've had my Nook for a week, and am still loving it. Boy, do they make it easy to buy things! Extreme self-control is necessary.

But what should I name my Nook?

Conversation at lunch between me and bookish_girl_:

Her: I haven't bought yarn in ages.

Me: Neither have I.

Her: Oh, wait, I was lying.

Me: Yeah, so was I.

Friending people I knew in high school and college is weird.

Little kitty has been christened Ezzio. Every morning at 4am he touches his nose to mine, which is my cue to get up and feed him. Yes, the cat has me trained.

Lilah, known to some of you as lilaboux, passed away peacefully at home today. She was 20 years of age. She was the doyenne of our household, and we will miss her dearly.

Lilah was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1990. A well-traveled cat, she lived in the following cities:

Came home from work to a surprise: Lilah had made her way from the bedroom to the living room, and was ensconced on the sofa. Fortunately I arrived before any leakage had occurred.

I had to take our cat Lilah to the vet today. The prognosis is she's twenty.

I have finished reading Cryoburn. I went into the book cold, knowing only that it was another Miles Vorkosigan novel. I hadn't been to any readings, or seen any sample chapters. I didn't even read the blurb on the dust jacket.
