Thrilling and exciting adventures

I gave blood this morning, which is good. Unfortunately, I didn't drink enough leading up to that, so I've been dizzy and icky since then. ::shrug:: Oh well, that's just the way it goes when you're me. But that's one unit down, three to go. (I received four units when Barak was born, so I figure I need to at least donate that many ( Read more... )

Hey, just in case you're interested, today is "Big Finish Day" at bigfinish.com. They have their first 50 titles on sale for $5 a pop (downloaded, about $10 for a shipped CD), as well as a free download of the first chapter of the new Fifth Doctor/Turlough/Tegan/Nyssa adventure. I just dropped $20 (after checking with the wife, of course) on a Fifth/Nyssa/Daleks, a Fifth/Peri/Ice Warriors, the first Eighth/Charley and a multi-Doc thingy.

Man, these are potentially addictive in these Doctor Who-less months....

Hmm, yeah, I think I like a bra that's kind of like a jogging bra. I don't want to be pushed in any particular direction, I just want everything held in place!

Bra shopping is the bane of my existence. So many places are vanity sizing now, so it's impossible to find a good fit. I ended up at Frederick's of Hollywood, where a respectable pair of DD boobs required a bra that's a 34F size. o_o

::headdesk:: Oh good grief! Sometimes I really wonder about the world.

Huh...I'd thought that I needed a C because of the aftereffects of pregnancy and breastfeeding, but maybe I'm the same size I always was. Believe me, I was happier as a B.

speaking as someone close to the 42DD you accidentally bought - I know I would have loved to be able to find a new one like that when at a second hand store (back in the days I had to go there) so if you're not planning to return it, you could donate it, I'm sure someone, would appreciate it.

I was just thinking of donating it, actually, since bras in any size are pretty rare in the used clothing stores. And honestly, with everything going on, trying to keep track of the receipt and the bra and get to the store to return it is more stressful than just donating the darn thing!

I envy you for giving blood. My first and last experience with blood donation involved the nurse futily rooting around in the pit of my elbow for a good vein. I still shudder at the thought of it.

Bra shopping is something I need to do. I'm probably a larger size than I used to be, but I can't seem to force myself to look for a larger bra. It's a problem. *nods*

I've had some not-too-great experiences, but when I get a tech with a clue, it goes fairly well. And honestly, after IVF/pregnancy/C-sections, one nurse rooting around in my elbow barely rates a yawn ;)

And I hate bra shopping! I finally said darn it, I'll be more comfortable if I just get on with it and buy some. Sure enough, it's true.
