So, in case you haven't heard, Steven Moffat has stepped down. I find it interesting that this has happened shortly after he publicly complained about the airtimes of the last series. Ok, let me start this by saying that this has been a really great season of Doctor Who. And in the finale, Moffat has answered pretty much all of the questions that he'd posed over the past few years, I should think. But did he stick the landing? Did it all work?

Traditionally, I give some kind of spoiler-free capsule review here, so let me do that. This was very good indeed, featuring an excellent performance by Peter Capaldi and fantastic direction by Rachel Tallaly.
