I gave blood this morning, which is good. Unfortunately, I didn't drink enough leading up to that, so I've been dizzy and icky since then. ::shrug:: Oh well, that's just the way it goes when you're me. But that's one unit down, three to go. (I received four units when Barak was born, so I figure I need to at least donate that many.)
The nice part of the whole thing was getting to explain blood donation to Yael and tying it into her week in camp, in which they discussed community helpers.
My other main accomplishment today was buying new bras. Most of my bras were a) the wrong size, b) somehow no longer comfortable styles, or c) just getting old and nasty.
I don't know if it was just Target, but it was incredibly difficult to find a bra that wasn't padded, underwire, or both. And it seems like at least half of them were padded, pushup, and underwire. ::eyeroll:: I despise underwire, which always digs into me most painfully, and I really don't care to make my boobs any bigger or perkier than they are.
However, by digging through the racks, I managed to find four bras in my size that were just, y'know, fabric that keeps the boobs from bouncing excessively and painfully. Of course, in my hurry (whining children and husband with me), I managed to buy one size 42DD. (Hint for those who've never met me: That's a tick larger than my size :D)
I'm now wearing a bra that is comfortable and is not a nursing bra. Whee!
Hey, it's the little things.
And now I need to try and stand up without falling over, so I can go get a suitcase and start packing for New York, since we're thinking about leaving at O-dark-30 so the kids can sleep all the way up.
