Bah, you don't need to work for them to realise how little work goes into fixing bugs, you just have to look at the forums.

Agreed. MMO designers don't care about customers, they're the most evil form of corporate whore in existence. Which is saying a lot compared to Microsoft ;)

Oh rubbish. Nobody cares about customers...except, of course, customers...

Well, they care in that customers == money, but the whole 'customer is always right' thing is rubbish, and the common perception that companies are doing things for rainbows and daisies and it's evil to worry about money annoys the crap out of me.

I didn't think anybody (except healthcare workers) worked on Christmas Day. Yikes.

I fear I do not get the GM joke. *sad*

Of the problems that get reported to us most of them are "known issues" or "working as intended". Typically things that are "working as intended" are broken, bugged or the way that they work is stupid; it is a very annoying thing to have to explain to customers especially as they are usually frustrated by it....more or less.

Q: How many GMs does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: None, it's working as intended.

It's a feature not a bug.

True story, got an email about a bug one day reporting that the bug had been "moved" to "working as intended". God knows when they'll fix it....any of it....
