[Kate is asleep in the corner. She's slouched in the chair, feet propped up in the windowsill. It's a bit chilly by the window, so she's got one of Desmond's hoodies on, the hood covering the upper half of her face.]
[ Desmond looks over at the windowsill and sees Kate. At first he's completely shocked to see her. For some reason, he always expected that if he came back to Mandalus? None of them would be there. He winces slightly at all the aching pain in his body before leaning back against the upright bed. He sighs. He probably worried the hell out of her. ]
[ Kaylee didn't notice any change in the room at first as she sits cross-legged in a chair, her lunch sharing a table with a small ... something that's handing her one of her tools as she pokes half-heartedly at something familiar looking in her hands. The new hidden blade absolutely doesn't need any adjusting but she just needs something to do with her hands. Occasionally she gives quiet directions to the bot, a bot that's clearly equipped with some sort of AI as it appears to be learning. ]
[ Desmond eyes the bot and Kaylee. He smiles a bit. Same old Kaylee. Even if it's been two months for him (well, give or take), somethings don't seem to ever change. ]
... kinda. He's a lil' version of this bot Tony's got named Dum-E. A real lil' version. [ She pauses and glances at the bot. ] Guess he does look like a robot a- [ Waaaait. Wait. She's been so desperate to hear that certain voice that she's just so used to talking back to. She's gone and sent lanterns up with wishes even, sat in a temple, did all the hoping she could. Heard that voice in her head even because she wanted to hear it so bad.
But that wasn't all in her head. She looks up in shock and is suddenly a blur of motion. With a quick "HOLD THIS" to the poor little bot that's trying to figure out how to actually hold the hidden blade now on the table with it, she's up and at Desmond's good side (thankfully), wrapping her arms around him as best she can in a hug. She's so overwhelmed the tears just come as she presses a kiss to his cheek. ]
[Ezio had been out to get coffee when the news was out that Desmond was awake and responsive. Ezio was relieved, but he didn't push to get to see him. Kate would want to be with him first, and Kaylee and Clay too, no doubt. Perhaps Altair would stop in. He just didn't want to come and overwhelm Desmond while he was unwell, so he let the others have their visits first. Instead, he made his way to speak to the doctor to find out Desmond's condition.
When finally things seemed to have calmed down, he headed in to see his descendent. Pausing at the door, his hood up over his head, he smiled lightly to himself. For however wounded he was, seeing Desmond awake was a relief and he hesitated for a moment before he approached, standing near the bed and settling his hand on Desmond's good arm.] It's good to see you, nipote.
[ While Ezio has been busying himself, Desmond caught up with all the others that came to visit him so far. Now, he's just sitting in his room staring at his arm. It's bandaged tightly, and when he tries to move his fingers, pain shoots right up into his head. No amount of morphine is going to stop the sting on that one. The Spark of Life, the Altar, Juno. Desmond doesn't regret his choice at all. It'll take time for Juno to even begin taking over humanity, and the Assassins know. They'll stop her - even if they have to get the Templars in on it.
At the sound of Ezio's voice, Desmond looks up. For some reason he's surprised to see Ezio still there. He smiles fondly, holding up his bandaged arm in some form of greeting. ]
Still hanging around here, gramps? I thought you would of moved on. [ Then again, Desmond has no idea how long he's been gone. For him? Almost two months. ]
You disappearing on us for a week is not enough to get rid of me. [He chuckles lightly and grabs a chair, pulling it to the bed and sitting down with a small noise at the comfort, his hood pushed back soon enough.]
The doctors were not sure what you burned yourself on. Care to enlighten me?
[Clay actually decides to go visit his comatose cousin. He's been avoiding it, mostly because crying girls make him uncomfortable. He opens the door to the room and stops short. Desmond is, in fact, NOT in a coma. He is standing.] Holy shit.
[Desmond now has absolutely no room to talk now. Shut up. Clay closes the distance between them, hugging his cousin. It's totally manly and he doesn't tear up. Nope, not at all.]
[ HE CAN STILL SAY IT. And get punched for it. Desmond holds his good hand up, entirely not expecting the hug---then again Clay always hugged first. He reaches up and awkwardly pats him on the back. ]

[ His face scrunches up slightly at the small amount of pain. He's still aching, but, time to put on that brave face. ]

I'm pretty sure the doctors here wouldn't know anything about an altar inside the Grand Temple.

[ Besides, he has no idea what she's been doing while he's been gone. Thank God she didn't mention the awkward apology. ]
Uh... yeah.

[She'd save it for when he was being terrible about something, as usual.]
Then you've clearly forgotten everything about me.

[ He already knows the answer. ]
More like... I wasn't sure what had changed. It's been two months for me, back home.
