[ Helen is standing in a ruined part of the Sanctuary as she turns on the feed. The chapel and opposite wing of the building have taken heavy damage. Some of it has been completely brought down, but Snape's wards protected the heart of the building. ]If there is anyone who wants or needs medical assistance, I am more than willing to help. I'm ( Read more... )

Doc, do you need a hand out there? [ Says the one going through the systems and getting ready to switch things around as she does her assessment out there. ]

No. I'm simply taking a survey. I'm sending you whatever data I can about what parts of the Sanctuary need to be sectioned off as we do repairs. How are the systems holding?

They are holdi- [ BEEP BEEP BEEP ] oh come on! Why are you- [ AAAAAAAARGH. Typing typing typing pause stare ... contemplating the good old I AM GOING TO MASH THIS KEYBOARD THROUGH YOU ... typing. ]

They could be holding better. That power surge was massive. One flick of a city power grid switch to 'on', one giant mess here. [ Alien power surges. SIGH. ]

[ Helen simply stays quiet, waiting for him to finish. This is typical Henry after all. ]

And our generators are fried as well. Have you asked Nikola to help with the power problem?

[ Severus Apparates just outside the gate (better safe than sorry as the Sanctuary's security systems might be completely back), pausing to take in what's before him. Well, his wards held nicely, as he knew they would. But it's a shame there's so much other damage. He spots a familiar figure in the distance amongst the rubble and he makes his way toward her. ]

[ Helen sighs to herself. The biggest part of this will be finding the money. She hardly has the amount in Mandalus that she does back home. She shakes her head to herself. They'll have to have a meeting about this once the systems were fully online. ]

[ His approach isn't stealthy at all, not that he's making any effort to be with stepping over and on chunks of the buildings. He'd rather not startle her anyway. They've all had enough of that recently, one gruesome surprise after another. ] I had suspected there would be an attack, though not to this extent. I only just finished as the first group of minions on foot came by.

I apologize that I could not do more. [ Maybe if there had been several from his world to set everything up. ]

it is amazing what people will do when they are frightened, hungry, and shocked. [ She's seen it before in many wars in many different places. ]

You did plenty, Severus. The heart of the Sanctuary is in tact. That's the important part.

[The Boss is reluctant to ask for help, but like Helen she doesn't trust the hospitals here at all. And the fight with Vulpes had left her with a few injuries that probably should be checked out. Too bad she's going to be stubborn about it.] Do you have extra medical supplies I could have, by any chance?

A few, I suppose. It depends on what kind you may need.

Just some basics for cuts, bruises, that sort of thing. Possibly a sprain.

I certainly have that. None of our medical supplies were raided, thankfully.

[ THAT TENDS TO BE THE BEST TIME YES.

Helen looks up from her work over at the man approaching her. She doesn't recognize him, but that's hardly going to stop her from helping him. Helen quickly comes over to meet him, looking him over with his various marks and afflictions. ]

Bloody hell. [ The statement is more to herself than him. He certainly met the wrong people when he got involved in whatever it was. Her eyes go up to him as she nods. ] I am quite certain we'll need to talk as I see to all of your injuries. Including as to how you got acquired so many.

[ She had her own things to take care of. She glanced at the network, but, she didn't keep up with it religiously. Not when continual lines of injured people steamed into her makeshift hospital. ]

You certainly made the wrong friends then.

[ Just to go along with with the joking tone. Helen raises her hand, gesturing to the Sanctuary. ] We'll take care of this inside. [ That's when she pauses. ] You're a friend of Miss Carter's... by chance, did you ask a young man to take her body to safety?

[ Despite only having had a couple conversations with her, Cougar's glad to see Helen's all right. His wounds aren't too bad - his capture and interrogation at the hands of Vulpes had been less violent than he'd expected, and in the last battle being at long range had kept him from getting too banged up, so it's mostly bruises and shallow cuts. When he shows up in Old Town, hat on his head and rifle on his back, it's not medical care he's looking for. ]

Dr. Magnus. [ He tips his hat to her by way of greeting. ]

[ And a smile is what greets Cougar. She recognizes his voice before his looks, due to their interactions. She places down the rock she had in her hands and makes her way over to him. ]

Ah, the elusive Mr. Alvarez. You seem to be in better shape than most the people I've seen.

[ She gets a brief smile out of him for that, before he nods his agreement. He really was expecting to get it worse than he did. Compared to others... he's reticent to owe anything to luck these days, but it's about all he can think of. He surveys the damage done to the area before his attention returns to her, a small frown now curling his mouth. ]

Your home?

Indeed. They somehow managed to bring it here.

[ Which is unsettling within itself. Helen simply shakes her head, gesturing for him to follow her. ]
