The riots have stopped- mostly- but Latvijas is still in turmoil. I have not been paying as much attention as to what has been going on in the fatherland due to personal issues, but now that I've gotten a moment to speak with a few friends over the internet

Eastern Europe is in turmoil right now. My aunt is staying in France because of the fires outside of Moscow. Shame, I wanted to visit... but the weather report says that it will be 37C almost all week, and I hate heat almost more than cold.

I extend to her my prayers and hope she remains safe through all of this.

It's in the twenties in Riga, currently. But for all the madness in Liberty and abroad, it's not...it's not a very viable option to travel right now.

How was Moscow last month when you visited, Sir? The same?

Oh, I have no intention of leaving Liberty for a while now. I'd rather not leave my apartment exposed.

Just politics, really. And a bit of a sociatal upheaval...

I-I'm sure we'll struggle through this turmoil like we've always done before. At least life in Liberty is peaceful.

Apathy is its own issue in today's world... A-and I'm sure being an Ethics professor you know much more of that particular problem than I. Perhaps we could have another discussion over coffee sometime? I hope at least you're doing well on your end, Sir.
