yay - pancake breakfast

We don't go out often for breakfast. Actually very rarely do we go out for breakfast. But this morning I woke up with one of my few cravings since being pregnant. I wanted pancakes. I didn't want to make them though because its never the same when you make something. So we got in the car and drove to the closest IHop and got their bottomless ( Read more... )

Glad everything turned out fine - I'll bet you were freaked out!
How funny - I've been really hungry for pancakes lately, too. We bought a pancake mix at the store this morning, actually, and plan on having a 'breakfast for dinner' meal sometime soon (pancakes, sausage, eggs, etc).

I'm glad you and baby are okay!

The make-it-yourself thing is true for me. When I started making pancakes, I suddenly realized that by the time you've made a bunch for everyone, they don't really appeal anymore.

yeah, i think after working on the pancakes, it just doesn't appeal to me either in the end so i eat like one pancake and that is it. I feel that way about a lot of the food I cook though that isn't something I really love.

I'm so thankful you and the baby are all right!

We had pancakes yesterday -- I had a craving for them, so Bill made whole wheat banana walnut pancakes. Yum yum!!

I just like plain buttermilk on the occaison that I actually want them. Bradley knows this but I probably have pancakes twice a year and that is it. I mean I eat them when people make them but I only eat one or two tiny ones. Twice a year I will have this sudden need to have a big pancake breakfast. And worse, they have to be restaurant ones.

I'm glad you are okay and that you seem to have nice, competent hospital people. That makes a big difference.

And that face pancake at IHOP? Ellie loves that! I think she's ordered that everytime we've gone, though she doesn't usually finish it... it is huge.

thank goodness someone knows how big this thing is-she ate the whole thing, all the fruit, all the yogurt, and then ate one of my pancakes. You'd think that we had starved her or something. I don't think I have ever seen her eat so much other than when I make her pancakse. She becomes like a bottomless pit for the ones I make at home too.

It was nice to have good hospital people that didn't make me feel bad for coming in or made me as comfortable as they could. plus i got to see what the room will be like that i will be staying in when i have baby smith!
