Houston we have a nursery!!

We officially have a nursery:  Painted with crib, changing area, dresser, book shelf, rocker and mobile.  Even diapers, a stroller and car seat.  All of this thanks to mom and our friends J & T who gave us a bunch of things they used with their girls.  There are still many things we'll need, but the big things are taken care of.  We registered at

Thank you so much for all of your help! It would still be white if it wasn't for you guys. With all the furniture moved in and some decorations up, I love the color even more.

That is so great! What a relief to have all the major preparations out of the way! How are you feeling these days?

It's so nice to have the big parts done. The rest of the details we can fill in over the next couple months, or even after the baby is born. But we have a car seat so we can bring the baby home, and a place for baby to sleep... life is good.

I've been feeling really good! The baby moves a lot, and I love that. Birwulf is able to feel it also, and that's a lot of fun. And we've been BUSY! We're having a lot of fun, though.

It's really exciting! I love going into the nursery and just looking at all the tiny things... The cats love it too =)

The registering was actually a lot of fun. It really helped that a friend and I had done a bunch of looking around before we went though. Otherwise, I probably would have had a coronary. (we registered at Target under my name - you mentioned in an e-mail that you wanted to see the things we put on the list, and they can be viewed on-line).

I just checked it out... you've got lots of cool stuff on there! Unfortunately, the bedding didn't have pics:(. Did you inherit a play and pack? I didn't see one on the list but I think you'll find that you can't live without one...

We registered at the store, and were disappointed when we got home and found out there are a bunch of things that don't have pictures!

We did inherit a pack n' play. Two actually. One we'll use as the bassinet while the baby sleeps in our room for the first month or so. One we'll use as a travel bed and set up in other rooms in the house if we want the baby contained.

We kind of burned out when we started looking at clothes. Especially since we don't know if the baby is a boy or girl. Aside from pajamas and rompers it's hard to find things that aren't pretty obviously gender specific. We have enough tiny clothes (I think) to get us by, and I'm assuming some people will just pick out outfits/clothes they like whether we've registered or not. I'm just crossing my fingers not to get too much really tiny stuff because we'll barely get to use them. (I have a horrible fear of having a gigantor baby, so I really try not to think about it too much =)
