It's Monday and it's a pic post. I know - a rare treat to start your week! Even better, the pic count for this bundle of goodness is 42 - a number of significance and great meaning for those who know the question.

As is typical, this is a team effort.

I especially liked the first one and the umbrellas on the beach.

If you're ever looking for it, though, I suspect that church reflected in the river is Russian Orthodox, not Indian. Just, y'know, to possibly save you some time down the road.

Ah! Yeah, the coloring and landscape made me think more of structures in the middle-east and India. Russia was never on my list of places to go before. I'll have to take a look-see.

I doubt very much the church is in India. I'm guessing from the architecture that it's Eastern or Russian orthodox, though it could also be one of the eastern (or Byzantine) Catholic rites. Anyway, most likely it is located in some Slavic country.

The cliffs look an awful lot like the Cliffs of Moher near Galway, Ireland. Not sure it is them (I don't remember seeing a cave like that), but they do remind me of Moher.

BTW, the "all is somehow right with the world" pic? That has got to be the most foreboding, evil sky in the set!

Hrmmm... Slavic countries are not known for being great tourist destinations. Alas!

As far as orange skies go - I guess each of us has his or her own ideas about what all being right in the world means. Mine mayhaps are somewhat different than that of, say, beings that might be destroyed in a rain of tar and fire.

Man-eating squid is awesome. Especially the fish swimming by, totally unconcerned...reminds one that we have our place side by side with everything else, and sometimes that place is dinner...

Yeah; it's good to maintain a respectful relationship with the world around us, rather than a domineering or a fearful one. If mortal beings learned to be more respectful of the world, the terrors that they inflict upon the world would be more self-evident to all, and they might well cut that out.

*weighs the paths of the future* Could pretty much go either way right now.

Maybe they have colored tabs shift back and forth under the surface - giving the impression that the "lights" are turning red and then green as the lever is cranked? I seem to remember such a trick being used in my non-electronic childhood toys.
