Maia's apartment: Monday Afternoon:
Maia sat on the floor in the middle of the living room, stacks of photos out in front of her as she was sorting them into neat piles. Several of the piles contained highschool photos, some were just recent of her and Rose. Since she had no photographs before she was eight years old Maia was a bit addicted to taking them now. -

Maia collapsed on the sofa after dropping off Rex. Dogs were hard work, she had never realized how much work they really were and Rex...he was really very sweet but so demanding of attention. Maia glanced over her shoulder at Rose curled up under the pink covers sound asleep. Maia had managed to empty out half of one closet and all of another one for Rose to put her clothes, she bought all new sheets and a new duvet for the bed, all in various shades of pink. Maia opened her eyes slowly, a familiar weight curled up against her. She smiled down at the arm that was thrown over her side, a leg entwined with hers. Rose Maia smiled and drew Rose's hand up to her lips and pressed a kiss there. Several law books laid scattered around the kitchen table, yellow legal pads scratched up with pen marks illegible to reading to anyone but Maia. Several passages highlighted in one of the books, while little bits of paper littered the table and were stuck inside a few of the larger volumes. Maia stood in the middle of her apartment, staring off into space; she shook her head and whispered "No...Kyle..." The phone lay discarded on the floor at her feet. -
Maia's Apartment Sunday Night
After a nice relaxing soak in the hot tub, Maia sat on the floor fitting the pieces to an antique Globe puzzle next to a roaring fire. Every now and then she would stop and stare into it with a smile and take a sip of wine. Life was good right now, it was very very good.
