This is remarkable my dear. I love it. The focus on the psychology and Remus' confusion. Because life is never straight forward.
“We’re all stuck with a lot of things we didn’t ask for.”
That made my heart go "ouch".
Mini britpick. 'taxi' not cab and 'bill' not 'check'.

We are all stuck with things we didn't ask for, but we also manage to acquire things we don't deserve. Among them: comments like this. Thank you. Maggie
Shall change these, thanks.

The psychology did indeed pass muster. I really liked Remus' “I don’t know if I’m going to go through with the change. At twenty I would have done it without a second thought, but at twenty it wasn’t an option.
Because it makes my heart ache a little. But it was repaired with bravery and laughter and a smiling Snape. Oh and the image of Remus in a shirt and knickers, which is really rather lovely and makes me wish I were any form of artist.
It's the things we don't deserve that make life worth living and help us cope with the things we didn't ask for after all. Counting blessings and all that jazz.

This is absolutely gorgeous. I especially love the play between the orientations and gender identity ("I thought I might be a lesbian" made me stop short and want to laugh, but at the same time, it didn't, if that makes any sense), for both Remus and Snape.
