2010-2011 TV Season

As per usual, I've given a chance to a new show or two, all while welcoming back old favorites. I also get to lament the loss of Lost, knowing that it was far better ending as it did than continuing on indefinitely; and I'll do without 24, which suffered terribly as a result of trying to hang on indefinitely. You're not the first one to mention Big Bang Theory. I may check out an episode or two even. Although I don't know when I'll fit it in... :)

And how did Booth get out of his one-year commitment to the army? What, he gets to change his mind because he missed his son? I think every soldier in Afghanistan probably misses his/her son, and they don't get to come back.YES, exactly. That was COMPLETE shenanigans. And, as you say, unnecessary. I liked the idea of Caroline getting the band back together, and the light that shed on her character, but that didn't seem worth all the other contortions they had to go through to get there. Including the idea that Cam needed to be "rescued," which... I don't know, I realize that they're all specialists in their fields and that the sum of their parts as a team is what makes them so exceptional, but I still took offense at the idea that CAM needs to be rescued from anything. Especially PR sorts of things. Cam is awesome at management, that's why she's in charge, and she's always been pretty much completely unflappable, professionally speaking. I feel like all the slapsticky stuff really takes away from the believability of the show overall, and it's so unnecessary. And it's really frustrating, because there's still a lot of good stuff going on, so it feels like whiplash between the good stuff and the annoying stuff.

As always, you've summed it up better than I could have hoped to. From now on, I'll just wait until you post about Bones, and then I'll just post a link on my LJ.
