I got dad all moved to assisted living yesterday and was settling in to cozy up and faff around as it was damp and rainy outside when the nursing home called, "Oops, we forgot to send his walker!" It's already been a long day. Dad was scheduled to be discharged from the care home at 11 AM. I got there and he was still in bed and it was 10:30! Today I had a plumber out to fix the leaky faucets in my bathroom. The first plumber who looked at it said he couldn't remove the handles to fix the washers, that they were not properly installed, and it would be big bucks to replace them.
