I think Tuesday is Faff Day.
I had a lot more of an exasperating day yesterday than I wanted to - mainly standing in line at the pharmacy, picking up OTC medications and dealing with paperwork. But that is done.
Today I have one small appointment about 5 minutes from my house but that is about it. I have a pair of pants I want to take to the tailor's to have hemmed, but I think that can wait (it's not as if I don't have any other pants to wear!) because I Just Don't Feel Like It. Today I want to faff around the house, work on my EC fic, and just plain relax. I have to run a load of dishes and flatten some boxes, and I want to continue on my This Old House project (now it's boxing up stuff to donate, and yessireebob, there is OMGCrap, an automatic shoe polisher just for starters!), but to me that counts as faffing. If I can wear sweats and not leave the house, that is faffing in my book.
Oh, and job searching. North Dakota and Nebraska have the lowest unemployment rates. But...could I live there after being used to Cali all my life? It's not the "culture" (most places these days have "culture" and Unitarian fellowships and things to do and basically nice people) but the weather. I'd have to learn to deal with snow. I'm a wuss. I'll say this for Nebraska, I've driven through it and I think it's quite green and pretty in the summer, and there are NO twisty mountain roads.
