I bought a rotring artpen, and I'm testing it out with the black ink it came with. I'm pretty much exclusively using it upside-down to get a finer line. This is the extra-fine pen anyway, but it's still a little too broad for my preference. It performs a lot better when turned over than my Lamy fountain pens though, so it shouldn't be a problem. I've been splurging. I am splurgey. My life is splurgerific.

I've ordered a shed-load of inks from Diamine, and a new rotring artpen with an extra-fine sketching nib, in the hopes that I'll be able to get a finer line than my Lamy extra-fines give me (Lamy are notorious for having broader than standard nibs).
