Put simply, people have a tendency to convince themselves, for the sake of their egos or their own emotional security, that people deserve the good and bad things that happen to them. Asus EeePC 1015T / Xubuntu 10.10 Review
I've had my 1015T for about three days, and I'm super happy with it. I blew away Windows 7 Starter (and its restore partition) and installed Xubuntu 10.10 AMD64 before I even left the store.

I'm done with the outdoor work and back to my digital life for a while. My new netbook is due to arrive tomorrow or the day after. Hopefully I'll get some creative work done in addition to my regular punditry and idiot-bashing. -

A couple of us are going into fire or trails work. I'm staying in Tucson, which was my original intention. I got a job here that pays no money but keeps a roof over my head.

Riddle me this, Becktards: Assuming there's a Creator, He's obviously not an idiot. Considering that He also created human psychology, it seems pretty damn unlikely that He's going around traumatizing people to win their hearts and minds. Didn't work for us in Vietnam, ain't workin' for God now. -

I've mostly been working in the Agua Fria National Monument, thinning juniper in preparation for a prescribed burn. It bugs me that we're doing all this work and it's going to be for naught if they keep letting ranchers graze their cattle on BLM land. Anyway, I would rather be cutting ponderosas.
