The Just-World Fallacy

I found an interesting article about the Just-World Fallacy. Put simply, people have a tendency to convince themselves, for the sake of their egos or their own emotional security, that people deserve the good and bad things that happen to them. Waitaminute- I thought objectivism believed in personal power and responsibility... NOT some moral judgement of deserving?

Objectivism claims to be about rational self-interest, but fails to acknowledge that rational self-interest is maximized by enforced collectivism, not libertarianism.

In an ideal world, libertarianism and collectivism would be equivalent; everyone would instinctively understand that collectivism is in their own best interest. Unfortunately, across all cultures and throughout history, about 5% of the population is sociopathic. It's because of that 5% that libertarianism produces nothing but social disaster.
