I always find it quite hard to strike the balance right with backstory, so I'm really happy to hear that it worked for you. I did work hard on the editing for this fic, because in earlier drafts I felt it was getting too bogged down and slow, so that's great to hear.

The Harry Potter reference was direct from the prompt, and as I don't know HP very well, it was a challenge, but a really fun one! I do love curtain fics, and this was a joy to write.

Beautiful little story. Sad that there's no bunker, anymore, but love the tiny little domestic details.

The ending was so perfect, it made me smile!

Thank you - I'm happy that you enjoyed it!!! Yes, I did feel bad about the bunker but I liked the idea of them making their own space and home, and it really allowed me to play with all the domestic details and how, while they still work as a team, it's in a completely different way.
