Aw, this was such a sweet story. I liked how attuned the brothers were to helping each other and that they got a happy ending. Lovely work!

What a lovely comment - thank you! Yes, I liked the idea of showing how the boys still work as a team, it's just in a different way now, with them both being attuned to each others needs.

I love it ♥ I like how there's still insecurity between them, but ultimately, they both want to be together, and that gets communicated.

They really do deserve that vacation. For all they love their home, I'm sure it's nice to travel now and again. The road was their childhood home, in a way.

Very good storytelling, with more showing than telling, and authentic characterizations.

I think what I liked most about it was what was revealed in sentences like this: "Dean wants to say he's fine, but after what happened to Sam, and all the times they'd get pissed at each other for saying it when they knew it was bullshit, they both swore never to say it again." It was those details in the story that showed how they had resolved some of their differences and found a kind of peace and balance in their lives.

I'm happy to hear that you picked up on the fact that the boys have resolved some of their issues, so that they can move forward, and find some sort of happy balance. It was important to me that to show some sort of change to their behaviour following a big change in their circumstances.
