I have seen sims approving or disapproving when they noticed others in romantic interactions like that, but is not often, they really need to notice the action and sims are constantly distracted rofl

Oh, man. I get Linus and Perry confused all the time (because they both look so much like Percy). I keep a written birth log and I had to make a note next to them (Perry = bald)

I have no idea how to get sims to STOP thinking about Abe in his collar.

It's because it's his thumbnail picture. They don't get updated when you change clothes, only whenever you use a mirror. So if you used a mirror with Abe now that he has normal clothing, his thumbnail would update to show that clothing and not the collar.

Assuming you would want to get rid of it ;0)
