So just last night my MBP restarted itself, showed me a grey screen that said: "Your mac is restarting itself because of a problem."

So yesterday's update to Safari destroyed the ability to look at RSS feeds directly through the program, which was pretty much my favorite thing about the browser. I'd rather not go back to the last version (I will if I have to, but it's such a hassle), but I hate having to use a separate piece of software to look at my feeds (using Mail just makes ( Read more... )

I vaguely remember there being a way to tell the OS to boot to the login screen rather than the default account. Perhaps some combination of keys held down on boot? I can't seem to find it. I know there is a setting in System Preferences, but I don't want to change those settings on this particular machine because it's not mine. Is it perhaps ( Read more... )

Specifically, now under library-music EVERYTHING is showing up. TV show's I've bought, movies, etc. Two hours ago, under the MUSIC label, only music showed up, now everything is there. But under the MOVIES, TV SHOWS, PODCASTS, etc. tabs directly under the library, they are all just those files ( Read more... )

Ok, so since last night I'm seeing a weird freeze behaviour.

First the mac will freeze up and I'll be left seeing the infernal beach ball of doom, then the cursor/mouse will not show or move at all, then the screen will turn grey and finally I will be sent back to the login screen from where I have no option but to force shut down bc I will get ( Read more... )

Hey, I could do with some feedback here. Here are some details about my mac. I have been having problems with it. It is running extremely slow & I don't understand why.
